movie reviews

Ya, I know these movies are getting ancient. I'm a little behind the times, but thought you might like to hear my opinion anyway.

Cloverfield- What the crap? That's all I have to say. It was one of those home video "blair witch" sorta movies. Hubby rented it, I had never even heard of it. Hud was a riot, I laughed quite a bit. The ending was absolutely HORRIBLE, without a doubt the worst I've ever seen. It just didn't make a whole lotta sense, but I've come to the realization that many movies don't anymore, unless you have "that kind" of mind. People are crrrrrrrrrazy! As for the rating, PG-13, um....no. It was creepy and bloody and yucky. When I think PG-13 I think Spiderman. Not even close.

Dan in Real Life- SO SO SO SO GREAT! I LOVED IT! Steve Carell makes me laugh. I've wanted to see this forever but hubby doesn't care for the guy. He's gone on business this week so I rented it. So worth it. I laughed. I cried. Perfection.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium- Cute. I'd recommend it.

Alvin & the Chipmunks- Totally didn't want to see this movie, but it was GREAT! It was so entertaining and so ADORABLE!

Both my husband and I are Steve Carell fans. We both really enjoyed this movie. Haven't seen the others. I'll skip Cloverfield based on your recommendation. I'll probably have to view the other two before letting my 6 year old watch them. We're kind of strict that way.

Thanks for the reviews!

I got sick with nausea and a panic attack at Cloverfield...hubby was ticked that we paid $20 plus snacks for it!

I SO want to see Dan in Real Life. The others are kids movies...ahhhh run!

LOVED Dan in Real Life...love the soundtrack, too! Never saw the others. The only thing I know about Cloverfield is that they played a preview for it when I took my girls to their first real movie theater to see Veggie Tales. Yeah, a Cloverfield preview at a G rated Veggie Tales movie! Needless to say, we won't be going to the movies for a while. I've heard great things about Mr. magorium and the Chipmunk movie. I'll be renting those some day...and fast forwarding through any and all previews.
