calling calgon once again

Ya know that weekend getaway I planned? Well I kinda didn't check my calendar and that's school cleaning weekend. Oops. Not a good way to start off the school year but I'm not cancelling the trip.

I took all 3 kids to Wal-Mart (which is 50 miles away) on Monday to buy school supplies and I about lost my mind. It was an all day excursion.

When I posted about my Wal-Mart trip on Facebook, someone reprimanded me for not shopping at home and supporting our economy. My blood boiled for a good 12 hours as I usually do most of my shopping at home but I have a school budget for school supplies and I wanted to get the best deal. I felt the comment was EXTREMELY unneccesary.

I've been working on getting The Baby on a schedule for daycare. Easier than I expected.

I traded my single Medela Swing for my friend's double Ameda Purely Yours thinking it would save me some pumping time. WRONG! I will be getting my Medela back!

There's a woman in my area getting Zumba certified. FINALLY!!!! Thanks Vicki! (Vicki's a stalker and she found my secret blog.) Tee hee, just kidding Vicki....kinda. ;)

I've lost a few followers lately. That could be contributed to the fact that I've been slacking this summer with the posts. I'm trying to be better.

We're headed to the in-laws tonight for their county fair and then spending the weekend at the lake with my family. Pretty sure we've only been home one weekend this entire summer.

Have a great weekend!

Enjoy your weekend!

I lost a follower yesterday. Darn them!!

Obviously, if Walmart is that far away from your house, you don't do most of your shopping there. Shame on that person!!

That would make me mad too. It's amazing to me what people will do and say. Don't give it a second thought.
As far as the followers, your loyal ones will always be here. Your family comes first so if you don't post as often, that's fine.
Have a great weekend girl and good luck getting everything ready for school. :)

I live in a small town, so I often have to travel out of town for certain stores too.

I hate people who make comments about things like that, when really it's not their business.
But man, I remember school shopping at Wal-Mart when I was a kid, so I can just imagine how crazy it would be for the adult. I miss it though.

That comment about shopping at home would have made me so mad! We never know what someone is going through money-wise.

I'm glad you will still get to have your getaway!

I do all my BIG needs shopping at Wal-Mart. I simply can't afford, on our budget, what I need for two weeks of groceries at a time at our local grocery. Like it or not, Wal-Mart Rocks Socks when it comes to shopping on a budget.
I'll always be a follower. I expect a lot of virtual hand holding the next time I try to BF a baby!!!

I can't imagine taking three kids to Walmart. My sister has three kids and she's told me the stories. I shudder! :)

I hope that your shopping trip was a success and that you got everything on the list. It's a bummer to go a long way away from home only to have forgotten a few critical items.

Just popping over from Mrs.4444's.
Ignore the grumps who don't understand that you have a budget.
