valentines

With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought I would share the Valentines I made last year. Found them at FamilyFun. The ipods were made with candy hearts. Otter gave these and they were a big hit. I just printed, rolled, and tied them with some ribbon.

The "boxes" I did myself, which shows you how incredibly creative I am...NOT. I forgot that we needed boxes so they were completely last minute. Otter said he wanted a camo one, so I improvised. :)

I LOVE watching fireworks, don't you LOVE watching fireworks? However, LIGHTING fireworks just about makes me go crazy. When I was little a fire cracker went off in my hand and they've freaked me out ever since. This year one of the shooter ones fell over TWICE and started shooting everyone! Hubby was hit on his ankle. He didn't get burned but he was in quite a bit of pain. I'm just thankful none of the kids were hit and that it didn't fly into a gas can or something! Not that I helped at all. I just sat there while my mind overloaded, Otter Raven Otter Raven Otter Raven, swinging my head back and forth. I didn't know which one to grab first and by the time I moved it was done. The second time I was ready.

Otter's at the age he wants to be in on all the action and it totally freaks me out. "Get ready to run. NOW RUN RUN RUN RUN RUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" was coming out of my yapper all night long. He used his head and did a great job running. :)
