I was pretty excited when asked to do a review for CSN Stores. My giveaway for them a while back was a great success and we are enjoying the bookshelf we purchased.

Now that I have a job and some extra money I'm trying to convince Hubby to redecorate....ahem.....decorate our house. We've lived here for a year and there's still nothing on the walls in our living room except for the kids' pictures. It's pathetic. And since we're on the subject of redecorating, is this ottoman coffee table cute or what?!?


I know.

So stay tuned for my upcoming review. If I don't get something for the house I'm thinking about getting some rain boots. Been wanting some forever. Do you like these or these?

A 3 DAY WEEKEND! Woohoo! I survived my first parent teacher conferences this week. I have been blessed with 11 marvelous students. Otter and I have made strides in our teacher/student relationship which makes life much easier.

The girls love their daycare provider and so do I.

Life is practically perfect. {Just add a maid and personal chef and we'd be good to go.}

My dad bought Otter the Iron Man 2 movie. We watched it last night. I have to say it was awesome. Tony Stark is hot. If you haven't seen it you must!

Today my bff and her baby are coming to visit. Looking forward to some quality time with them.

I've found a new love for thrift! I've pretty much purchased new wardrobes for everyone in our family, which means 5 times the laundry. I'm working on packing up older clothes to take them to consignment. I figure at thrift prices I can buy a new wardrobe every year. :)

laundry day and my new shoes

Procrastinated.

Again.

Surprise surprise!

Didn't do one load of laundry.

All week.

Why?

Because I was reading blogs of course! ;)

Dryer malfunctioning.

Have to dry every load twice.

Flippin Fabulous.

I'm not green.

Obviously.

Hubby uses a different towel everyday.

Says it's easier to grab a new one when he forgets his.

So I moved the towels to the hall closet.

Didn't help.

If you can walk to the hall dripping naked to get a towel, why can't you walk to the flipping bedroom dripping naked to get a towel?

Anyhoo.

My new shoes.

Went to the 2nd hand boutique yesterday.

They were having a sale.

Been needing brown shoes.

Really, I need them.

Found a purple pair of shoes I loved.

In my size.

Said to myself, "Too bad they don't have these in brown."

Wouldn't ya know?

Found them in brown.

In my size.

Tell me.

What are the chances of that happening?

Aren't they fabulous?

Don't look at my legs.

They're dry.

And slightly hairy.

So I only got one comment on whether this dress is good for a wedding. (Thanks Rachel!) What do you think? Also, checkout my countdowns at the bottom of the page to my faves season premieres. Yes, I'm obsessed with TV.

So I know the rule is you can't wear white to a wedding. Does the rule apply to this dress or is there enough black in it to get by? Whatcha think?

a few things that made my day and a few that didn't

the good things...

1. I submitted an order at Buckle.com on Sunday and received the package TODAY! Is that lightning fast shipping or what?

2. Included in that exciting package, was $160 worth of clothes for...prepare yourself...48 BUCKS (rounded up,) INCLUDING SHIPPING! Now if that wouldn't make a woman's day I don't know what in the haitis would! I got these great shoes for 7 buckaroonies! Holla!

3. I finally had the dreaded talk with The Boss. When she gave me my contract it was $1/hr less than she told me to begin with. At first I decided to screw it, but then I decided I wasn't gonna put up with that crap. I called her and she said she just pulled up another contract and forgot to make the changes. So it's a gosh darn good thing I said something! Personally, I think she noticed, she was just seeing if she could sucker me. Kudos for me!

4. I received another package in the mail, which in itself is exciting enough, but it was the preschool curriculum book I've been waiting for. I love it and can't wait to try some of the lessons. Now if The Boss would just get the stuff ordered for my classroom!

5. I watched The Bachelorette today and I'm STOKED that Jason is still here. I was a little worried there for a second. If she doesn't choose him I'm gonna be torked. By the way, did you hear that D's engaged?

and the not so good things...

1. One of "my" kids at preschool pooped her pants, for the second time in the last week. Gross. Cleaning up poo sux regardless but sux even worse when it's not your own kid's.

2. Still feeling the burn of my "slowly turning into a tan" skin.

3. KILLER MOSQUITO BITES! I've scratched them so much they're bleeding. Gross I know. Am I crazy or is there something totally orgasmic about scratching mosquito bites? Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm. Addicting too. I'm always like, "Okay, one more good scratch and then I'm done." But I always go back for more. :)
