Movie Monday @ Messy Mommy

Hannah Montana: As Hannah Montana's popularity begins to take over her life, Miley Stewart, on the urging from her father takes a trip to her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee to get some perspective on what matters in life the most. G.

So I'm not a big Hannah Montana fan, and therefore opted out of seeing this movie in theaters. A few friends that went actually said they enjoyed it and it got me curious. I saw it was on Netflix Watch Instantly so decided to watch it with the kids. It was actually pretty darn good. It wasn't totally realistic, like people wouldn't recognize you if you put on a wig? Please. Otter didn't understand the whole second identity thing. He remained quite confused the whole time and kept asking questions I apparently didn't have good answers to. We watched it a second time with Hubby who actually liked it! I would recommend it. It really changed my view on Miley Cyrus and I'm really looking forward to seeing The Last Song now. But if you do watch it, prepare to have some catchy tunes in your head for a good week or so. {la la}Boom boom clap, boom de clap de clap. Boom boom clap, boom de clap de clap. {la la}

LOL at the little ditty at the end. I never would have even thought to watch it. Maybe if it's on HBO one night...

She really wasn't bad in Last Song- except for the first little bit, where she's supposed to be this tough girl. After she drops that part, it's much better.

I took my oldest to see it and was shocked that I wasn't totally bored while watching it

I saw that movie awhile back. I don't really remember it, but I enjoyed it. I always liked the show, too, though, until recently when I watched one of the final episodes and it was way too unrealistic and weird for me.

Never in a million years did I expect you to say it was good. Ok, I believe you!

I haven't seen her in anything except the commercials for her show. And my 6-year-old still has no interest in her show or her music, even though she's heard it at school. I'm kind of glad, but I also know that there's just going to be another tween/teen star to fill the gap once Miley's gone!
